Rating & Recommendation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and definitely, I started #2 in the series immediately following – #3 comes out this summer. Genre: Chaste love story, small town, home renovation. Only issue is that she’s 11 years younger than him, and he’s hung up on the age thing. The latest book, Eloise and the Grump Next Door, was published in August 2022. Except this grump isn’t as much of a grump once they start kissing rather than arguing. Each book will have sizzling chemistry but no spice. The Oakley Island Romcom series follows three very different sisters as they renovate the house they inherited and find love on the island along the way. Eloise, Lo – as she’s known now, takes the first shift in choosing everything and getting it all done under the guidance of Jake, their grandmother’s attorney turned overlord. Eloise and The Grump Next Door is a grumpy sunshine, closed door romantic comedy. Why I picked it up: I just finished Emma’s other series and this one, supposedly, follows a set of the sisters – but I can’t figure out the connection, but it doesn’t matter anyway.
